Dave & Dee – Ireland Part 2

When we were in Ireland kicking back with our friends  Kate and Sean we were also joined by Dave and Dee. They are beautiful people and photographers that we met a year earlier at The Parsons ‘Don’t Give Up Project’. It’s funny how it works 3 couples all linked together through a mutual love of photography.

Dave is a wedding photographer and one of the easiest ways to describe his work is that he creates light where there is none. They joined us for the weekend, masterfully cooked us breakfast with their 36 eggs ready for a day exploring.

Dee is truly Dave’s other half and is an excellent photographer in her own right. We talked about their recent trip road trippin in America and visiting the various Breaking Bad film locations in Albuquerque, travel and Australia where she had lived for many years over many a glass of wine…friendships really don’t need much more than that!

We also had the pleasure of spending time with David Olsthoorn an uber talented photographer in both weddings and the Ocean. Man the talent oozes out of this dude, whatever David puts his hand to photographically is just epic,  his surf imagery blows my mind……seriously check out his work NOW

We explored the Burren in literally all weathers, discovered new places together, visited Father Ted, eat hearty winter meals, drank Guinness and took our lives in our hands at the cliffs of Moher is gale force winds…..can we go again?!!

All shot on Contax G2, Mamiya645protl a mixture of Kodak Portra 400, Fuhi 400h, Ektar 100 35mm or 120 and processed by the awesome UKFL

  • Ah guys – That was a great read and what stunning photography! It’s a pity my head had to ruin some of them on you but some cropping will go a long way to turning some of these shots into true masterpieces.
Now if you don’t mind, I have to go off and fry a few eggs.ReplyCancel
